Hurray for Dinosaurs!

This photo of me and T. Rex was taken at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in DC a few years back. I'm posting this photo now because I'm currently illustrating a series of dinosaur books! The project is extensive and lots of fun!  It's now my job to research dinosaurs, watch Jurassic Park movies and buy dinosaur toys (more about toys in a future post).

And here's an adorable photo of my wife posing with the same T. Rex a couple decades ago.

Now I understand why Mrs. Squier doesn't care for "monster" movies. She was traumatized by her encounter with the T-Rex skeleton!

No arm-twisting required to gather reference for your current project! What dino-loving illustrator wouldn't love to watch Jurassic Park and buy dinosaur toys? I'm itching to buy my very own T-rex and Spinosaurus toys after seeing the ones you have!

Fantastic! That's so fun that you've got pictures in the same spot too.

It really doesn't get better than saying that this is your job, does it?! :)

I'm sure you've heard about the dino exhibits in Boston? - nice that we'll have the big guys close to home too.

I'm tempted to pinch myself –it's such a great project for me. Thanks for the tip, Gina–I understand the Museum of Science has a new and nearly complete Triceratops skeleton on display!

You should Photoshop these together, that would be pretty dang funny.
