I've been working away on this illustration for a couple weeks. It's come a long way since I first posted sketches; I feel it has further to go but I need to take a break. I'll step away for a couple days, collect some feedback from other illustrators and gain some fresh perspective. Then I'll get back to painting and finish it off or good.

Bear Scare

You've made quite a bit of progress. It looks nearly completed.
The bear looks good, especially his fur. The plants and trees are very effective at creating a convincing forest atmosphere. Great poses and composition.
I question some of the color and stylistic choices which seem a bit ccnventional but there remains a decent amount to admire about this piece. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together when it's finished. Good luck!
